Network Design/Operation and RF Engineering
Cambridge offers a full spectrum of Network Design services
and complete RF Engineering to our clients. Indeed, Cambridge specializes
in creating multiple platform, mixed media network systems that include
various forms of transmission, relay, site control, and routing. We
create robust systems that achieve high levels of availability in harsh
environments.
Whether our clients are looking for wholly new systems
and designs or need to work within existing constraints, Cambridge can
meet the design goals. We work in all transmission media, have trained,
specialty staff, utilize refined training and testing methods and work
in both classified and non-secure realms. You can call on Cambridge
whether you're looking for:
- Customized LAN/WAN Design
- Legacy System Integration
- Network Monitoring and Management
- Computer Facility Management and Operation
- Internet Telephony and IP Applications
- RF Engineering--
- Microwave solutions;
- UHF/VHF capacity;
- Land Mobile Radio;
- Spread Spectrum;
- Specialized fiber optic needs.
Satellite Communications
Cambridge provides Earth Station Design, Installation,
Operations and Maintenance, Space Segment Leasing and Bandwidth Management.
Our successes include:
- Design, construction and testing of a 4500 square
foot satellite earth station and communications center for the US
Air Force in Bogotá, Colombia;
- Design and procurement of fly-away transportable satellite
terminals, a Network control facility gateway and on-site training
operations for multiple U.S. Government agencies;
- Ruggedized, mobile fly-away satcom packages for Southwest
Asia and Latin America;
- Satellite earth stations in Quito, Ecuador; Caracas,
Venezuela; Panama City, Panama;
- Creation of satellite-based teleconferencing centers,
creating connectivity between more than twenty federal health care
sites;
- Earth station operations and maintenance in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Surveillance and IFF Systems
Cambridge provides Identification Friend or Foe and other
surveillance and sensor systems for US and allied military forces. Cambridge
engineers:
- Worked with the US Air Force to upgrade, convert, and
migrate Eastern European legacy radar data into western formats;
- Designed, installed and tested an upgraded Identification
Friend or Foe air traffic system for new NATO members;
- Created an IP-based camera surveillance system for
a national security customer to accomplish monitoring of remote facilities.
It included a management system to collect and search performance
statistics and physical sensor data.
Data Fusion and Intel Support
Cambridge supports the intelligence community and its
users through all source analysis, translation and foreign disclosure
support, as well as the design, development, installation and operation
of data fusion systems:
- Cambridge designed, developed, installed, and tested
a Fusion Center for the Hungarian Defense Force (HDF) and its NATO
allies. The Center is currently integrating data from four first-tier
remote data sites. But the design is scalable to accommodate an increasing
quantity of remote data sites to meet the expanding HDF and NATO requirements.
The remote data sites also combine multiple data inputs into one fused
platform for transmission to the central fusion center. These remote
sites input data in both digital and analog form, and the analog data
is digitized for insertion into the remote system.
- In the Middle East, Cambridge is creating an intelligence
fusion center to integrate and search multiple source intelligence
data.
- Cambridge provides additional national security customers
with data assessment, translation and linguistic support, and foreign
disclosure analysis.
Telephony and Transmission
Cambridge provides Domestic and International, Fixed
and Transportable Transmission Services. Our engineers also provide
telephony systems and support to commercial and Government clients,
including:
- Moves, adds, and changes in domestic office environments;
- Establishment of Enhanced 9-1-1 systems;
- Installation, programming, troubleshooting and bandwidth
management in various forward operating locations, including, programming
Mitel PBXs and Timeplex Synchrony equipment;
- Establishing new transmission routes from Afghanistan,
Uzbekistan, and Bosnia
- Supporting transmission requirements for US Vice Presidential
travel.
